Meet Dr. Troy Sturgill
Assisting Others to Discover Greater Well-being
It was experiencing his own health challenges growing up that made Dr. Sturgill decide to see a chiropractor. The profound results impacted his overall success and health, and he wanted to become a part of the profession and share this form of natural healing with others.
A Comprehensive Education in Health
Dr. Sturgill attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney to receive a Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis on Environmental Health. He then went to Parker University and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Anatomy and a Doctor of Chiropractic degree, serving as class president. He also recently returned to Logan University and completed his Master of Science in Sports Science and Rehabilitation.
While at chiropractic college, he started suffering from severe headaches that would not go away. He tried acupuncture, which relieved his pain and motivated him to train in the field. Dr. Sturgill has completed the examination process in Acupuncture for the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners.
Staying Busy in Woodward
When he is not working, Dr. Sturgill enjoys spending time with his wife and family, often traveling or watching softball and baseball games. He is a member of the Woodward Chamber of Commerce, having served as Chairman of the Board in 2004. Serving his community is important to Dr. Sturgill, and he was named Volunteer of the Year in 2012 for the Special Olympics. He also holds a membership with the American Chiropractic Association.
